Problem

Languages with limited representation in AI systems risk being less accessible in the tools increasingly used for learning, communication, and everyday work.

Solution

This is a long-term open-source effort to improve AI accessibility for Esan. The work is still at the research stage, starting with language data, community involvement, and evaluation.

Next steps

• Research responsible approaches to language data, community participation, and evaluation.
• Define a useful first open-source contribution without overstating the project’s maturity.
